About This Website
This website, The Dynasty Warriors Character Guide, was created on February 28, 2002 to aid those who are unfamiliar with the Three Kingdoms story in Dynasty Warriors. It was originally hosted at PoyznDotNet, but grew so large that it was moved to its own domain, YueYing.net. The website was created by and is maintained by Stephanie M. The goal of this website is to teach fans of Dynasty Warriors about the characters in the games, to share official artwork with the general public, and to convince them that Cao Cao isn't pronounced "cow cow."
The information on this website was gleaned from many sources: various internet websites and forums, the online copy of Three Kingdoms translated by C. H. Brewitt, abridged and unabridged versions of Three Kingdoms translated by Moss Roberts, Mastering the Art of War translated by Thomas Cleary, The Art of War translated by Thomas Cleary, Seven Military Classics of Ancient China translated by Ralph Sawyer, and the Dynasty Warriors games themselves.
Website Wishlist
These are things that I want to add to this site, but am unable to locate or obtain on my own. I thought perhaps that since Dynasty Warriors fans are such generous people (they really are), some of you may be able to donate the following items. Full credit to all donators, of course.
- Scans from the Tsuushin volumes.
- Scans from the comic collections.
- Photos of all Dynasty Warriors merchandise.
- Ripped tracks off the drama CDs.
- Japanese voice actor credits for Dynasty Warriors.
- American voice actor credits for Dynasty Warriors 2, Dynasty Warriors 3, characters listed "n/a" in DW4, and Dynasty Warriors 5. Do not bother giving me the names of the voice actors listed on IMDB, I don't trust its information.
- European voice actor credits for any of the games
- Cosplay photos. From American conventions, especially.
- Translations of this site's sitemap into other languages. Already have Hungarian and Chinese.
Contact the webmistress if you can provide any of these things.

Stephanie was born in an exceedingly boring city in the northeastern United States and, to her everlasting frustration, still resides there. She lives at home with her family, filling the time before she goes off to college by making websites, reading, watching anime, playing video games, and making a nuisance of herself. She loves Dynasty Warriors, Final Fantasy, Dance Dance Revolution, Rurouni Kenshin, Slayers, Initial D, Metallica, Pierrot, techno/eurobeat, Arina Tanemura's art, Jane Austen, yaoi, XML, cheesecake, and the color purple. She plans to become a librarian when she grows older, if her plans for world domination fall through.
The webmistress became a Dynasty Warriors fan soon after Dynasty Warriors 2 was released in America (fall of 2000), and has been hooked every since. Of the Dynasty Warriors characters she has many favorites, including Zhuge Liang, Zhao Yun, Zhou Yu, Xiahou Dun, Jiang Wei, Yue Ying, Sun Ce, Cao Cao, Lu Bu, Zhang He, Sima Yi, Lu Xun... well, for the sake of ease let's just say that she likes them all. She thinks that MOVE is great and that Yuki Koyanagi has an annoying voice.
Stephanie blogs almost daily. Her AIM screenname is squarefairy -- for god's sake please don't add me to your Friend List and then forget who I am. It's always very odd to be asked who I am by complete strangers.
