Character Profiles: Wei 魏
About Wei: Wei ("Gi" in Japanese) was situated in the plains of north-central China. It was established by Cao Cao in 200 A.D. (this is the year he defeated Yuan Shao at Guan Du and subjugated most of the north). Its capital was first Xu Chang, and later Luo Yang. His son Cao Pi inherited Wei when Cao Cao died, and he declared himself Emperor in 220 A.D. Cao Rui, Cao Fang, Cao Mao, and Cao Huan followed Cao Pi, until 265 A.D. when the final Wei emperor was forced to abdicate in favor of Sima Yan, Sima Yi's grandson, and Wei was replaced by Jin. In the game, Wei is represented by a phoenix and the color blue.
