You will be happy to learn that reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.
The Cliff's Note version: no I haven't abandoned the website, I just don't have much (read: any) free time anymore — being, you know, an adult with a job and family responsibilites and such. I plan to continue updates as time allows, which may mean once a month or once a decade. I love my little site, but life takes priority. I'm sorry it has to be this way, and I apologize for leaving the project in limbo for so long with no explanation. But let's not dwell on it! My life has been pleasant in the interim, and I hope yours has been as well.
I've been updating here and there, without fanfare, for the past two years. Little things mostly, I no longer remember any of it, but I can tell you I'm currently working on the official artwork gallery. The goal is re-scan everything I had up there previously for much higher quality, and put in a whole bunch of new stuff. Although having a job sucks up all my free time, it has given me the means with which to amass a considerable (dare I say, impressive) collection of Dynasty Warriors-related items, and I mean to share all of it with you.
Also, I'd like to commend to your attention Kongming's Archives and Koei Warriors as far superior alternatives to my silly little site. They update more often, have everything I have and much more besides, and the guys who run them are really cool dudes. So! There's no reason to be sad that I no longer update much, not when there are such superb alternatives available.
Oh! And in case anybody wondered: disappointed by Dynasty Warriors 6, am wildly in love with Warriors Orochi. There, now we're all caught up.

No content this update, since I've been busy with an entirely unrelated project.
Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires is out in North America. I have not played it long enough to give a well-informed opinion, but my first impression is "GOD YES, I CAN FINALLY GIVE ORDERS TO ALLIES DURING BATTLE." Tentative thumbs up. Sadly, no Japanese voice acting. European players, you'll be getting your hands on this sometime this summer.
Speaking of voice acting, Zhang Fei's American voice, Bob Papenbrook, passed away last month. Damned shame. Great performer, always liked his portrayal of Zhang Fei. (Credit to Undertaker for the heads-up.)
In other release news, PSP owners have Shin Sangoku Musou 2nd Evolution to look forward to, read more about it here and here. No word on a release date yet. (Credit to Jeanine for the linkage.) Don't forget about Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper for the PC, which is now available in the States. And, most exiciting, Shin Sangoku Musou BB (Dynasty Warriors online) is finally taking shape. So far it's only in beta, and only in Japanese. There is absolutely no word on whether this game will be made available outside of Japan.

Today this website is four years old. Happy birthday DWCG!
Xing Cai's profile is done, and it was pleasantly frustrating to do. Yue Ying's profile has been revised and is also now done. The FAQ and Sitemap have been updated. I've moved the Timeline and Lifespans to a new History section, which also includes a page for the maps I've been making. Updated the General and Fanart links. Updated the merchandise section. The new quiz result images for Wu have been uploaded; only Wei remains to be redone. I've made minor alterations to the site layout.
Another update should follow this one soon, since the cosplay section is pleading for attention. It requires some PHP coding, which I'm not really in the mood for, which is why it's not done yet.
Reminder: Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires for the PS2 and Xbox 360 will be in North American stores by March 30th.

News update! Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires has been announced, and looks to be totally awesome. Samurai Warriors 2 was announced a while ago, along with a PSP Samurai Warriors port.
Not much for a content update, because I have been busy with holidays, video games, a lot of reading, and debilitating illness. (I'm all better now, thanks for asking.) I've uploaded the new quiz result images for the Shu test, the Wei and Wu ones still aren't done. Edited the Sitemap and Xing Cai's profile (but it requires further revision still), and put up my review of Dynasty Warriors 5: XL. And added a new wallpaper from Chibichan, which should have been up in the last update. That's it for today! Hope you all had a good holiday, and Merry Winter-een-mas!
