Happy Holidays, folks! This is the last update to the DWCG this year: I'm taking the rest of December off. Don't expect any updates until January. Luckily, this update is a very respectable one, and it should please you.
We have new fanart as always. The General Links page has been altered and added to considerably. Information on Dynasty Warriors 4 Heights and Ages have been added to that page (info was volunteered by Nat). My wishlist has been updated. There are scans from the SSM3 Koushiki Settei Shiryoushuu, two per character, linked on each character's profile page (generously donated by Nat, thanks once more). I've linked to a new site on the Japanese Fanart page (this person linked back to me; I think it's uncommonly neat to be called "Stephanie M-san" ^.^). And, finally, *fanfare* the "Which Officer of Shu Are You?" quiz is up and working. Yay!
For the next month (or two, or three), fanart submissions are closed. This is not just a holiday season thing; even after I get back, I will not be accepting fanart for a while. The reason is I want to concentrate on the non-fanart sections of my websites, and I can't do that when every update begins and ends with fanart. I want to get the profiles done. I'll make an announcement when submissions are open again. You can still submit desktop items, because no one ever does anyway. ;-)
Also, I've made the very beginnings of a Samurai Warriors (Sengoku Musou) website: it's over here. There's not much there but the little information I have on the game. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to update it, but don't expect there to be any real content for a while. By which I mean months.
And finally, I'd like to once again wish you all a happy holiday season, and thank everyone for their e-mails, submissions, and words of encouragement. Hi folks, small update today. All I've got for you this time is an update to the F.A.Q. and fanart. Current fanart count is 202! Yay!
I'm trying to decide how to incorporate new stuff, like translated poetry, merchandise scans, and photos of areas related to Dynasty Warriors, into the site's current navigational system. It's a complex problem and will require time to muddle through. I'm hoping to add some of these new things to the site early next year. And YES, I am working on the last two quizzes. Please don't bother asking me about them, they will be done when they are done.
Since the holiday season is in full swing, I'd like to ask all of you fanartists to try drawing some holiday-themed Dynasty Warriors artwork. You know, Christmas trees, snow, Santa suits, that sort of thing. I'll accept this fanart at any time of the year, but I thought I'd make a special right now, since it's almost December. Non-holiday fanart will still be accepted too.
One final note, information on Sengoku Musou has finally been released to the public. Check out the Magic Box and GameSpot for more info.

Ahh, I'm surprised no one's assassinated me yet for neglecting the site for over a month. ^^; Heh. Thanks for all the e-mails and submissions in the last month! I don't reply personally to each, but I do read them all, and I'm grateful for all the encouragement and suggestions and corrections. Thank you very much!
For this update, I've updated the F.A.Q. and the Merchandise pages, and added all the latest fanart. I'm trying to decide right now if I should add some translations of poems by Cao Cao, Cao Pi, and Cao Zhi. I'd like to get the Wei or Shu quiz done before the end of the year (hah, likely), update the links, and finally, at long last, work on the profiles again. I also need to do the real design for YueYing.net's front page, and get the Kessen II site in order, AND start thinking about a Sengoku Musou site. Mrr, so busy.
Oh! MengDe.org is holding a Three Kingdoms fanfiction contest, and I promised I'd advertise. So I am! Sorry I didn't get to it sooner, Gravity-san. ^^;
Continue sending those submissions and such. Links would be vastly appreciated, especially to other DW quizzes and character shrines.

Fanart update today. We've got about 20 new pieces, or something close to that. I don't really recall. My wrist hurts. ^^;
Also, some of our fanartists are thinking of making a Dynasty Warriors-themed tarot card deck, and would like to recruit other fanartists to help them out. If you're interested in participating, see this forum topic for more information.

Yep, it's an UPDATE. With CONTENT. Word. We have a bunch of new fanarts: there is a total of 124 submitted fanarts on this site now. Yeah, I know. Amazing. I love fanartists. We also have a few new wallpapers, and I checked the General Links. Various small errors around the site have been corrected.
I'm trying to build a new setup for the fanart section, since it's gotten so large, and I'm finally starting to get some shoujo ai/yuri pictures so I need a place for that. Not sure when I'll have this done. And, of course, I'm working on the quizzes. Once the quizzes are done, and the fanart section set up more efficiently, then I'll get back to writing profiles. Really. Seriously. I mean it.
If you're wondering what else I've been up to, I've been working on a Kessen II site, wasting a lot of time on Soul Calibur II, and learning PHP. Fun fun.

About 10 new fanarts and 5 new wallpapers this update. Working on the quizzes. Since it's been requested, I'd like to make a special appeal for non-explicit yuri and shoujo ai fanart. And more yaoi, 'cause you can never have too much of that. But really, people want to see some yuri, and so long as it's not pornographic, I'll post it. Just so's you know, if there's any yuri fanartists out there.

Desktop wallpapers should be in at least one of the standard sizes (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200). From now on, any submissions that aren't in the sizes indicated on the submissions page will not be accepted.
That said, we have new fanart this update, and a new desktop wallpaper. I'm not sure if I correctly attributed Black Phoenix's fanart (I deleted the e-mail before I copied down the name and address of the person who submitted it, God, I'm senile). If the info is incorrect, then the person who sent the submissions can always e-mail me and berate me. Sorry!

Harum-scarum update today. Even more fanart (some yaoi, yay!), added a wishlist, updated the merchandise page and... is there anything else? No, I don't think so. I wish this update could have been more complete (I'd have liked to check the links and maybe even write a profile) but I didn't have as much time today as I thought I would. Busy busy. I'll have at least one update next week, but not very much, 'cause I'll be working on my friend Hikage's site.

I've got myself a new server. It's yueying.net, but the domain name hasn't latched on quite yet. It should, though, by tomorrow. Much love to the nice people at FuitadNET for offering such affordable hosting.
So, how will the move work? Well, today, I'll be slaving over the site, changing links and tidying up. It will be uploaded and ready for use by tonight, I hope. Tomorrow, I will leave big ol' links to the new place all over this website. Eventually, all the pages at poyzn.net/dw3/ will turn into refresh pages that bring you automatically to the new site. Tomorrow, when I post the link to the new location, change your links, bookmarks, favorites, and everything else to point to the new place. The fanart will be up and available again at the new domain, so you all should be happy about that. And the forum will reappear once the move is complete. I'd apologize for all this bother, but believe me, I'm suffering a lot more bother than you are. I'll be damned if I ever switch servers again.

Only one thing in today's update: the Kessen II walkthrough has been updated to include three more battles for Cao Cao's campaign, up to the Battle of Tian Shui.
What have I been up to? Well, I'm making a Kessen II website, I've been fussing over my finances, working on schoolwork, and reading like crazy. But mostly, I've been doing schoolwork. Semester started last week. Busy busy.
In server news, I should have one late this week. I want to move this site next week. And I STILL have no idea what the domain name will be. This is beyond ridiculous.
Oh, in Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends news, it will be released in the United States on November 4th, 2003, for about $30. You've probably already heard about it, but I figured I'd leave a note on it anyway. And Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII is out too. I've been hearing conflicting opinions on its enjoyability. I'll have to find a way to get the game to see for myself.

Big site update today! The navigation has been altered: the merchandise and heights pages have been moved to the Misc section, and added a link to the new Desktop section. I plan to make and accept some Dynasty Warriors wallpapers and skins and share them on that page. But, work on that section will have to way until after I move to the new server. Busy busy, you know. I've checked the links and linked to two new Japanese fanart sites. I've updated the FAQ and the Dynasty Warriors pages. And, if you can believe it, I've written Lu Bu's profile. *gasp!* Yes, I know, it's amazing. But not nearly as amazing as the sculpture of Lu Bu and Red Hare made by a Dynasty Warriors fan. Check the fanart page for more on that.
In server news, I've been scraping together money. I've picked my host, and I almost have enough money to make the move. I still need to decide on the domain name, though... >< I just can't pick. I'm so indecisive. Someone else should make the decision for me. Otherwise, I'll just hem and haw forever.

Right. Website updates. Again, no new content. The fanart page is still dead, but I shall be attempting to generate revenue for the site through affiliation with various online stores.

The bandwidth issue has temporarily been resolved by closing down the fanart page. Most of the bandwidth appears to be chewed up by people looking at images, so this should get me through the next few weeks.
The permanent solution will be to move this site to its own server. I'm looking around at offers right now, trying to find something very affordable and very reliable. I'll also have to pick a domain name, which is difficult because the best ones have already been taken. (KongMing, MengDe, and ZiLong are all gone! Aww.) This finding a server and then moving to it thing will take a few weeks. I'll also have to scrape together funding for this, somehow. So you'll forgive me if I have few updates from now until then. If you've got any comments on the bandwidth crisis, feel free to commiserate with me through e-mail.
As for the forum, I think it will come back, but it will stay on PoyznDotNet. But I'm only going to worry about that after the server move.

Due to bandwidth issues, the forum has been closed down. I do not know if it will come back. This depends upon how the bandwidth problem is resolved. I don't know if it's the forum or this website, or both, that's generating the extreme amounts of bandwidth. If it's the forum, I'll have to get rid of it. If it's this website... Well, then, I don't know what I'm gonna do, because I'm not getting rid of this website. It's my baby. But I can't afford all this bandwidth usage. So I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Finally broke down and put up a cheap little counter, to see how much traffic I really get.
No content updates today, but I do have a lot of fanart waiting to be posted.

Ah, my fan will be very happy with this update, methinks. We have, for your enjoyment, no less than 15 new fanarts, plus the "Which Officer of Wu Are You?" quiz. Rejoice! Granted, the Wu quiz will probably have to be tweaked to be more fair; it's very hard to get some of the less personable characters, like Taishi Ci and Huang Gai, but for now, it's up, and that's what matters. I can't find my To Do List, but I assure you, the rewriting of profiles must be at the top by now. Along with converting this site to PHP. Bleh. Anyway, have fun!
Edit: Added two other fanarts, and fixed a mistake I made. It's David, not Luis F. who submitted the fanart. *sweatdrop* Sorry about that!

The server move is complete, and everything should be working fine now. If you notice any broken images or links, don't worry about it, I'll have it fixed by the end of the week. I've got lots of odds and ends to take care of, so no update today.

Ooog... I made it through this update alive. It's a miracle. I have been busy with my forum, so this update was days later than I planned. But it should be worth it, as I've got lots of additions and alterations to to the site. We have seven new fanarts, a new page with heights and ages, and Japanese style names; links were all checked, and the navigation has been added to, to accomodate the new pages and links to my forum and the new oekaki board. Yup, that's right, an oekaki board. So all you fanartists, go there and make me some more fanart!

Hi! Um, no new fanart this update. (I have four, one from Daisy, one from Chibichan, and two from Mei Lin, which will go up soon, I promise.) Sorry! I've just been busy, playing Ragnarok Online, sewing a Guan Yu plushie doll, and making a forum. The forum is multi-purpose, but there is a Dynasty Warriors board for you people who like to visit this site. Go there to babble about Dynasty Warriors, ask questions, bug me for updates, etc. So, visit if you like, and have fun if you do.
I'm working on the Wu quiz, and should have new fanart up next update, along with checked links, and, if we're lucky, some rewritten profiles. But only if we're really lucky.

Finished the Harry Potter book and *fanfare* the first quiz! Check under the Miscellaneous section for the quizzes, I've got a quiz for the female Dynasty Warriors characters. It's not quite as nice as I'd like it to be, but I'm gonna be tweaking it a bit over the week. Next quiz will be for the Wu characters.
I've probably got fanart and stuff to put up, but that can wait until tomorrow. Or... later today (it's about 2AM as I write this). I'm also thinking of putting up some regular website things, like counter, guestbook, message boards, that sort of stuff most sites have but I don't. I'd really just be doing it to get worshipful spam from my psychotic fans. *waves* Anyway, further updates as breaks from Ragnarok Online warrant.

Ten new fanarts up today, one of which is in the yaoi section. My fanartists are prolific. *grin* The profiles will be worked on soon. Soon being something like a week or two, I hope. This may be the only update this week, since I'm busy playing Ragnarok Online, moving my furniture into my brother's former bedroom, and anticipating Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Hey, only a week between updates this time! I'm getting better at this.
The quiz is... not done yet. Neither is the fanfiction. D'oh. But! We have five new fanarts, one of which is a comic. Yay! We love you, Yvonne! We also have a new cosplay section, with photos of someone (Kuroi, one of our fanartists) dressed as Zhang Liao. Links have been checked, with some new fanart sites added.
Also, in case you haven't heard, there will apparently be a Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends coming to Japan sometime this fall. No further information and no images have yet been released, but stay tuned. Whispers of a Dynasty Warriors 5 for next year are also floating about, but I'm trying to not look that far ahead.

I'm sorry it took this long to update again. School is kicking my ass, again. Happily, though, summer is coming soon. I've still got more schoolwork to do this month, but everything should be wrapped up by the second week of June.
I'm planning on buying a domain name for this site, but I'm having trouble deciding on a name. I'll inform you ahead of time when the domain name is bought and the site address changes, so you can change your links.

Yessss! *cue Halleluiah chorus* The site redesign is complete! I can't tell you how much I hated that old black layout. I'm so glad it's gone. Granted, this one isn't much better, and is even uglier, but at least it's not that terrible, gloomy black. This look better suits the direction this site is taking.
So, some pretty big changes have been made. The site's navigational system has been redone. The Timeline has been dropped, and a Style Names page has been added. A Yaoi section has been added too, and all yaoi stuff will go there. Be sure to actually read the warning on the yaoi page. New fanart is up. No fanfiction yet, but I'm trying to get that done. Three Kingdoms page not done yet either. The profiles which were not done before the redesign are still incomplete. Various small changes have been made to the profiles and each individual page. All the links have been checked fairly recently. I think that's everything.
Continue sending me fanart and fanfiction! Fanart of non-Wu characters and yaoi is in high demand. Next on the agenda is rewriting all of the profiles. That will definately take a while, though. If you have any comments or complaints regarding the site's new design, or you can point out broken links and other website errors, just e-mail me.

A note to people who e-mail me: please remember to put "Dynasty Warriors" in your subject line. Otherwise, I'll probably think your e-mail is spam and delete it without even looking at it. Also, people who send in fanart, if possible, please zip it before you send it, and try to keep the file sizes minimal, as Hotmail portions out very little space. O.o; I didn't think this would be a problem, having assumed that I'd never get any fanart submissions, but it is. If your e-mail is bounced back to you because my inbox is full, try again the next day. I may have to use a separate e-mail for the fanart stuff...

Actually, the reason I updated was because I got a fanart submission that blew me away (like both of the other ones did), so I had to put it up on the site. Go to the fanworks page and see. These fanarts I'm getting, they're too damn good for this website. I gotta redesign.

Dynasty Warriors 4 is FANTASTIC. In case you weren't already aware of that.
As usual, I am busy with a multitude of things, so many I can hardly find time to update this site as thoroughly as I'd like. However, some small additions and repairs have been made. Big thank you to Maria O. for her Sun Ce fanart. Oyajiiii! And thank you to Dave D., who e-mailed me to remind me that the link to Sima Yi's Dynasty Warriors 4 picture actually leads to Zhang He's. It has been fixed. I have also received a few fanfics, which are not up yet, but will be as soon as I find the time to HTML them. Worry not, I haven't lost or forgotten about them! Keeping sending in fanart and fanfiction; it may take a while for it to appear on the site, but I WILL get it all up eventually.
My schedule will be relatively clear in two weeks. I'm attending an anime convention in Boston next weekend, and after that it looks like things calm down. If you're going to Anime Boston, look out for girl dressed in black carrying a cheap paper fan with an orange handle. That'll be me.

Dynasty Warriors 4 comes out tomorrow in North America. Updates to this site will follow... though it will be difficult to pull myself away from the game long enough to do it. But I doubt many people will notice, seeing as most of you will also have the game and be glued to your PS2s as well.
Oh, and I'd like to gratefully thank each kind person that has e-mailed me their compliments regarding this site. Ioften can't reply to such e-mails, but I do greatly appreciate them!

Someone submitted a fanfiction for the site, but I haven't HTML-ed it yet, so it'll have to wait until the next update. No new or changed content in this update, just wanted to wish my site a happy birthday. ^^;

Slacked off in updates due to a Dance Dance invasion. I'm better now.
Added the other characters to the DW4 page. That's all of 'em, now we gotta wait for the game to be released so we can see the other new characters.
Updated the general links page. New links added, old ones updated, dead ones removed. I think it's getting a wee bit long, though. In the next redesign, I might set that up as a directory instead of one long list.
I'm crawling through the last volume of Three Kingdoms, writing and collaborating on some Dynasty Warriors fanfics, and pondering a rehaul of the site. I think it's in need of a bigger rehaul, something more drastic this time. The original design and structure just isn't holding up.
Received a Cao Cao fanart from an amazingly nice and talented artist named Kathrin. Thank you so much! I hope to see more art from you and the other fanartists out there.
This website's first birthday is February 28th. Just so you know. ^^

Official Dynasty Warriors 4 website update! We finally see the Wu characters. They're on my DW4 page, with the others. If you don't like their new look, don't worry; there appear to unlockable costumes. Sweetness!
I'm in the middle of volume 3 of Three Kingdoms. No site content updates yet. The one year anniversary of this site is coming up, can you believe it? I can't remember the exact date it was begun; I'll have to look through my old blog entries to find out. I may or may not do something special for the site's first birthday. Haven't decided yet.

No Wu characters yet, except what glimpses we can catch during the movie. But! there are some new images at the Gamecity Dynasty Warriors 4 page, along with information on a song by Yuki Koyanagi that will apparently be used in the game. The song is called "Cross Colors", and will be released on her CD single "On the Radio" in March.
A slight content update: Zhang He and Pang Tong have their proper name hanzi/kanji now. Thomas Cheng, a person I thanked in the previous update for e-mailing me, sent me the hanzi for Zhang He's given name, so I shall thank him again for that. Also, you might notice that I fiddled with the font used to display the characters' names in Chinese. I like MS Hei better.
I'm on the third volume of Three Kingdoms, and expect to finish it in a week or two. When I'm done, then I can give this site the attention it deserves.

Whoo! A major update at the official Japanese Dynasty Warriors 4 website. More character redesigns have been revealed, this time for Wei. They are now listed on my own DW4 page.
My big brother bought Mushouden, so I've been enjoying the game this past week. No, I will not call it by its North American name. I'm just strange that way, okay? It's gooooood. I like it. I like the new bodyguard system. I find it amusing to have Ma Yun Yuan (Ma Chao's sister in another Koei game), Yue Ying (forthcoming in DW4), Himiko and Cai Wengi (both from Kessen II) as my bodyguards. It reinforces my suspicion that the guys at Koei have a lot of fun putting in-jokes and self-references into their games.
A big thank you to Vicki and Thomas Cheng for e-mailing me about errors and omissions on this website.
Oh, and one other thing. Muni Shinobi, that wonderful person who does various walkthroughs for GameFAQS, has translated the Koei Dynasty Warriors 4 website on his own; check it out. I know the link should go on the Links page, but I'm not ready to update it yet.

*hopping around like a mad rabbit* Eeee! The official Dynasty Warriors 4 website was updated! Now there are new pictures, and most interesting are those of the Shu characters' new designs. I've added them to my little DW4 page, so you don't have to wade through the Japanese site (though I encourage you to, there are sweet new screenshots).
Mushouden, A.K.A. Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends, was released. I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. Dunno if I ever will. The month of March will bankrupt me, what will all the spectacular games coming out, so I've got to save up my money.
Oh! I finally have my own bound paper copy of Three Kingdoms. XD I'm so happy! When I'm done the book, I'll finally be able to rewrite everyone's profile, with new information and such. No more headaches from pouring over the online version!

If you haven't seen the new official Japanese Dynasty Warriors 4 website, go already!
I didn't expect to be working on this site so soon, but I have Dynasty Warriors 4 on the brain and it just won't go away. So I wasted my afternoon making up profile pages for the three new characters announced for Dynasty Warriors 4. So far, there's, Zhou Tai, and Cao Ren. You can tell I put all of my effort in the Yue Ying page, since her profile actually has interesting content. ^^;; She looks so cool! I can't wait to play as her. Digressing. Right. Back to the topic. The pinyin and japanese romanizations were done by yours truly, and they were really the only reason I made the profiles. I'm fairly confident in their accuracy, though Ying got me stuck in a loop for a while.
In other news, I finally have the money to buy my own unabridged Moss Roberts copy of Three Kingdoms. YAY! I'm also tossing around the idea of special ordering the Dynasty Warriors 3 manga so I can scan it and put the comics up on this site. Depends on how expensive it is, and how quickly I could get it. We'll see.
