Not a content update, but big big news! Dynasty Warriors 5 will be released in Japan on February 24th, 2005! Koei Corporation has already announced that we lucky folks in North America will get the game in March of the same year. No word on a European release date. This is ALL that anyone knows about the game so far. I'll let you know the instant I know anything more.

New fanart from DarkmoonFlute288, Falhock, Ms. Sleeping Dragon, Tamamo, Tae Seong Kim, and a yaoi pic from Hushicho. W00T! Cosplay photos have been updated and re-organized. A thousand apologies to Ichigo Kat and Lady Rivendell for delaying so long. ^^ General links have been added to, and I've added a crapload of links to the Fanart links page. Updated the FAQ, Merchandise page, and the Reading List. Added voice actor profiles for Rika Komatsu, Tsuyoshi Takishita, Kouji Haramaki, Rumi Kasahara, and Hisayoshi Suganuma. Now, wasn't that update worth waiting for? ...No? Well, wait until the next one, maybe I'll have something nifty for you then.

Not an update, but some news, shameless self-promotion, and random spam. Update will come in November.
Firstly, all residents of the United States aged 18 or above should be preparing to vote in the elections coming up on Tuesday, November 2nd. That's next Tuesday -- don't forget! Take the 10 minutes to go and vote. Really, it's not a big hassle, and it's something very important.
Secondly, go visit Hikage's Archives and enjoy her fun fantasy fiction. If you leave her comments and guestbook entries, she'll write me more Tomena, which will make me happy.
Thirdly, I have a deviantArt account now, and I'm too lazy to update my profile or the links page with it. So here it is.

Whaaa! Sorry sorry sorry, I've been too busy to update. Empires kept me busy through most of September, and this month I had a lot of books to read. But I'm updating now, so you can stop sending the death threats. :p
This update: New fanart from Gabriel-Aria, CrazyInsaneJess, Aaron K., Lady Chris, Omaik, and Goth Girl. Two new wallpapers from Ray J. General Links checked and updated. Finally added Nu Wa and Fu Xu's hanzi names, many thanks to Guo Mengni! Next update: Cosplay photos, Fanart links, updated FAQ, possibly more scans and other interesting things. We'll see.
In Koei news, we North Americans be getting Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends in November, and Kessen III sometime early next year. But still no Nobunaga's Ambition Online, those bastards. Koei's poll this week is interesting -- it asks which classic Koei game/series you'd like to see on the PS2. I am pleased to discover Uncharted Waters was a Koei game, after all. But why didn't they list Aerobiz? I liked those games...

That out of the way... Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires was released in North America on August 31st, and should be available in stores by now. I've already got my copy. ^.^ Is it worth buying? I say yes. The ending edit alone is worth the $30 to me, though some gameplay issues (generals no longer stay dead, for example) can be annoying. Find some reviews before you buy it, if you're unsure.
Also, Koei finally released from information on Kessen III. Seems like they actually have been working on it for the past few years, they just haven't said anything. K3 will be based on Nobunaga Oda's ascent to power in Japan (yeah, that's the Samurai Warriors guy), and will not be based on Three Kingdoms this time.

The Image Gallery and Fanart Gallery have been altered so that you can view images sorted not only by source, but also by character. The Wishlist is up again, now on the About page. The Reading List is back up, listed under "Miscellaneous," and it's been updated. We have new fanart by Tara C. and Josh S, new cosplay pics from Kaoru K., and new wallpapers from TYJ and Silver-Talon. And, the niftiest thing of all, we have a new page for the little Dynasty Warriors horoscope game from the Tsuushin volumes. Check it out to learn more. And as a reminder, yes, fanart submissions are open again.

Site has been redesigned. It's slightly less ugly now. Yay! I also changed all of the links, so your bookmarks and links are probably broken now. Which is why you should only ever link to http://www.yueying.net/dw/. That address never changes. Please report any broken links on this site, misspellings, and other odd stuff that creeps in when you're coding on an empty stomach.
Images have been taken off of the individual profile pages and stashed away in a nifty new Image Gallery. General links have been checked. A few pages, like Kessen II and the reading list, are temporarily missing: I can only do so much in one day. New cosplay photos are up from Otakon and Japan Expo. The fanart page has been broken into many smaller pages, one for each artist. Oh, and FANART SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN AGAIN. Halleluah, praise the lord, pleasedon'tmakemymailboxasplode.

July was a very busy month: long story short, my basement flooded. So I had no time for updates. But, term's ended for me, and I have a few weeks off, so I'm gonna get the image gallery working before then, reopen fanart submissions, and change the look of the site. And then I'll be happy enough to work on profiles again. I should have a cosplay update too, once certain pictures are developed. (Hellooo to the people from Otakon! Did you get your picture taken by my emissary? ^_^)
To keep you people happy in the meantime, and stop the death threats, I not only fixed the Shu quiz, but finished the Wei quiz AND made a new quiz, "In which of the Three Kingdoms do you belong?" Also, the Wu quiz and Female quiz have been switched over to PHP, because Javascript is responsible for at least ten of the white hairs growing out of my scalp. So the quiz section is finished. Done. I will not be doing any more quizzes. Asking me "Will you do an Others quiz?" will be the same as saying "Please, gouge out my eyeballs and eat them." Fair warning.

So, anyway, we have a scattered, small sort of update for you today. We have three new wonderful yaoi fanarts from Molly, a new desktop wallpaper, the General links have been checked and added to again, photos of the Mistress of Flame's Zhu Rong cosplay at AnimeNEXT, and the merchandise page has been updated. Is it just me, or does Koei release a new Tsuushin every few minutes? Geez.

Yes, in fact, I am dead, thank you for asking. These past few months have been busy and bothersome.
The update this time is miniscule, but take heart that I've bothered to update at all. I've updated the FAQ and the seiyuu page, adding two voice actor pages. I've also updated the General links page. I've got a loooong To Do list for this site, and first up will be the Image Gallery. I want to organize all the pictures on this site into one section, for easier access. It'll take a while for me to figure out how I want to code it; I'll be reopening fanart submissions when the Image Gallery is working.
One of the problems I faced these last few months was a computer meltdown, in which I lost all of my e-mail, including desktop and yaoi fanart submissions, which is why there is no update to those sections this time around. If you feel like re-submitting your work, go ahead. If you don't, don't worry about it.
Please note that the oekaki board has moved to a new location and approved registration is required to draw on it.
Don't expect updates to get regular again right now. I'm not sure the craziness is over. In the meantime, play CIMA: The Enemy for the GameBoy Advance, it's amazing. And visit my friend Hikage's site, 'cause she needs hits.

There is no new or altered content in this update. This is merely to state the obvious, that updates have become sporadic again. Haven't had the time, nor felt the inclination, to do the serious work this website requires, and don't foresee me acquiring either in the very near future. What that means is, updates will be infrequent and irregular for a little while. I'll get back to work eventually. Don't bother nagging me with e-mails asking when I'll update, or when I'll fix the Shu quiz, or when I'll add the Wei quiz, or when I'll add a certain profile: I'll do it all when I'm good and ready, and I don't know when that will be.

I could lie and say I was very busy doing important things last week, but I wasn't. I missed the update through sheer laziness. This week's update is very small for the same reason.
We have for your viewing pleasure Hideo Ishikawa's voice actor profile, scans of the Wei character models from Dynasty Warriors 3 (linked on each character's profile page, refresh the page if you don't see the link), and *music* lots of cosplay photos! Thank you very much to the people who sent them in. Next update, we might possibly have Dian Wei's profile, a revised fanart links page, and more character models, but don't get your hopes up, I'd dash them just for the heck of it.

Dong Zhuo's rewritten profile has been uploaded. Also, new scans from the Shin Sangoku Musou 2 Koushiki Settei Shiryoushuu (god, that's a long title) are available on each character's profile page; check below the biography text for the links to the scans. Ten bazillion thanks to AmaDono for the scans. Be sure to notify me of broken links to the scans. I'm feeling too cantankerous today to go through the trouble of checking for errors. It's a Sunday thing. Sundays have a bad effect on me. Eventually, the images will be placed into an Image Gallery section, so you don't have to go through each profile individually to view all the images available. Oh, and Dian Wei's profile will be the next one to go up.

This isn't a content update (that will come over the weekend), I just wanted to spread the latest Dynasty Warriors news. What follows is a quote from The Magic-Box:
Koei has released new info on the new Shin Sangoku Musou 3 expansion disc Shin Sangoku Musou 3 Empires (Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires), this game will add the administration, political tactics and competition elements from the Sangokushi series. The Character Edit mode will be greatly enhanced, custom character will have a lot more models and voices. A new Visual Database is also added. However the game will not support data import from the other versions. The game is scheduled to release in Japan on March 18, for 4280 yen.
Also, an official website for this game has been set up at Gamecity (It's in Japanese, but there are some pictures). This is all I know so far: more info as soon as I learn of it.

Added three new credits to the American voice actors' page, thanks again to Logan. Added Sun Jian's rewritten profile. Added one Japanese voice actor profile. Added a few links to the General Links page. Updated the wishlist and merchandise pages. Have also been cleaning up broken links here and there; thanks to James P. for pointing out a few. It's a paltry update, but it's the best I can do after the server debacle and exams (which I did very well on, thank you). Next profile will be Dong Zhuo's.

In case you hadn't noticed, this site has been unavailable since Monday. This was due to the server going *splat*. All data was lost, but since the site was backed up on my computer, this wasn't a problem. If you're reading this, everything's been re-uploaded, and all is right in this corner of the world. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

The first of the re-written character profiles goes up, and it's Zhang Jiao! Added seven new Japanese voice actor profiles, three new desktop wallpapers, and a sitemap. Updated the General Links, merchandise, and wishlist. Also added short blurbs to the each kingdom's profile page, and reorganized the update archives by year. Still have to fix the Shu quiz.
If you're wondering how I'm doing the profiles, I'm re-reading the novel and taking copious notes as I go along. It's slow work. (I'm on Chapter 9 right now, and I started last month.) Once the character dies, I go back through my notes on him, compile them, then write the profile. So profiles will be going up in the order in which characters die. Zhang Jiao is first; Sun Jian will be next. I'd be going faster, if the holidays hadn't gotten in the way and if exams weren't imminent. I'll try to get along faster once testing's over.
Please remember that fanart submissions are closed, don't send any, yadda yadda.

Hope everyone had a good holiday! Updated the merchandise and wishlist pages, added three new links to the General Links page, added a few new wallpapers, and opened up a new section for Voice Actors. Also, I am trying to fix the glitch in the Shu quiz that makes it not submit. Thanks to Logan for the American voice actor information!
